An Apollo tradition, our annual Kwanzaa Celebration returns for an uplifting performance featuring Forces of Nature Dance Theatre under the leadership of critically acclaimed choreographer Abdel Salaam. With special guests Mumu Fresh and The Harlem Children’s Zone Youth Academy of Dance and Wellness, the electrifying evening features traditions from across the country and the African continent in a powerful evening of music, percussion, and modern and African dance.
Join us for a joyous celebration of Kwanzaa through dance from across the African Diaspora, music and spoken word, honoring the principles of Kwanzaa, family, community and culture.
