TNC_Garvey_Web

Visit the Apollo Digital Stage as author, thought leader, and Apollo’s Master-Artist in Residence, Ta-Nehisi Coates sits down with Dr. Julius Garvey, son of the late Marcus Garvey. Dr. Garvey has become his own history maker as a cardiothoracic surgeon and medical professor, while simultaneously carrying on his father’s legacy as an advocate, and founding the Justice4Garvey movement.

The Apollo presents this virtual conversation in partnership with HARLEM WEEK’s series Harlem On My Mind: One-On-One, featuring intergenerational conversations with leaders whose works have contributed to the Harlem community and beyond.

This conversation will premiere on the Apollo Digital Stage on August 17 at 8:00 PM and will be available to view on demand immediately after.
