The Apollo Works in Process series continues with a powerful three-part contemporary ballet by Jamaican-born dancemaker, Christopher Rudd. Inspired by the 2012 murder of Trayvon Martin, WITNESS blends different styles of dance with contemporary circus, film, and theatricality to put America’s racial landscape into historical context, combat systemically taught racial biases and imagine hope for a more just and equitable future.
Journeying through time and form, Rudd’s dynamic work invites audiences to engage in a conversation about reconciliation and their duty as bystanders.

The Apollo Works In Process series continues with a new one-woman play by acclaimed playwright and actor Regina Taylor. EXHIBIT takes us on a gripping journey through history and the present. At its heart is Iris, a powerful artist who relives the memories of a violently fractured civil rights era in America. But these memories are stirred by something unexpected—the resurgence of societal and political forces she never thought she’d witness again. As today’s hard-fought social tides of change are seemingly rolled back, EXHIBIT forces us to confront the echoes of our past in the fierce light of our present.
Winner of the Theatre Aspen Solo Flights Award, EXHIBIT was born at the Hermitage Retreat and is being shared with audiences in cities across the country during this momentous presidential campaign season. The biggest stars in comedy come together for one night only to pay tribute to comedy icon, Joan Rivers, benefiting her favorite charity, God’s Love We Deliver.
This can’t-miss event will feature an all-star cast, including appearances by: Michelle Buteau, Rachel Brosnahan, Nikki Glaser, Whoopi Goldberg, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler, Jean Smart and many others.
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Hawkins lights up the night with a red-hot mix of R&B and rock & roll.
