The Apollo is making progress on welcoming audiences back to our spaces, but there is still a lot of work to be done and your support is critical for a successful reopening.

We hope you will consider making a generous donation to the Road to Reopening fund. This is an opportunity to stand with us to ensure that the Apollo comes back as the dynamic force it has been for nearly nine decades.

Donations to the Road to Reopening fund will help guarantee the return of fan favorites including Amateur Night, not-to-be-missed concerts, and dynamic new Apollo commissions. Your gift also supports Apollo’s education programs that reach 20,000 New York City students and their families. To donate to the Road to Reopening fund, visit:

To help launch this fund, an anonymous member of the Apollo’s Board of Trustees has pledged to match every gift DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR given through September 1, 2021. Each gift made this summer will be doubled to help the Apollo bring people back inside our spaces to see their favorite legendary artists.

No donation is too small. Each gift is a show of support for the Apollo and its mission and is an investment for future generations. We are grateful for your consideration and look forward to welcoming you back in person. With your support, we will be back home at 125th Street engaging audiences, students, and the community very soon!

Apollo EmpowHER

Join the Apollo's Women's Network

EmpowHER is a group of dynamic women working to make a difference for teens by supporting programs that introduce students to behind-the-scenes careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries. Mentorship, community, and philanthropy define the purpose and action of this special group.

Members typically contribute $2,500 or more annually, however for the 2020-21 season while the Theater remains closed, we are currently offering membership at the out-of-state level of $1,500 for all. Your contribution has a tremendous impact on our young people so we hope you will join EmpowHER at this virtual membership level. In addition to supporting the students, members will still gather virtually for networking opportunities, fundraising events, and other activities to connect with the Apollo, the education programs, and each other.

We will continue to provide virtual programming via the Apollo Digital Stage.

Gifts of $10,000 and above are recognized through the Apollo’s Legends Circle. As recognition for their leadership support, members receive invitations to exclusive receptions with Apollo artists, members of the Apollo’s Artistic team and leadership, as well as a customizable suite of benefits that can include presenting sponsor listing for Apollo Music Café and Apollo Presents main-stage performances and more.

We recognize that access to the Theater is limited during this pandemic, which directly effects membership benefits.

In response, the Apollo Theater is extending memberships by 3 months, offering a full 15 months of membership. When the Theater is poised to open its doors and welcome you back, you can be proud of the fact that, as a member of the Apollo family, you supported staff salaries, teaching artists, performers and the artistic and educational programs, which reach 200,000 people annually.
