Do I need to wear a mask at the Apollo?
Masks and vaccinations are no longer required. The Apollo is committed to the safety of our visitors, and will continue to update our policies as necessary. We will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and our local, city and state health officials.

Do I need to be vaccinated to visit the Apollo?
Proof of vaccination is NOT required. For the safety of our artists, audiences and staff, face coverings are optional but encouraged for all attendees while inside the theater.

What items are prohibited in the theater?
To ensure safety for all Apollo Theater patrons, security screening takes place prior to entry. Please take a look at the Prohibited Items below:
- No outside food or beverages (cans, glass)
- Posters, signs or banners
- Weapons, firearms, pepper spray, knives, blades
- Camera equipment, tripods, selfie sticks
- Large bags

When can I visit the Apollo?
Guests must have a ticket to enter the Apollo Theater during an event. Guests may visit the Apollo Theater Gift Shop from 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Sunday. Guests attending one of the Apollo Theater’s Historic Tours may enter the building at the time of their scheduled tour.

What is the bag policy?
All guests entering the Apollo are subject to a bag check. The Security staff has the right to turn away any guests attempting to enter the building with items prohibited by the theater. As stated in the Apollo’s Food and Beverage Policy, no outside food or drinks are allowed inside its theaters. The Apollo Theater Security staff has the right to deny entry to guests attempting to enter the building with food or drinks purchased outside.

How do I reserve a box in the Historic Apollo Theater?
There are eight seating boxes, which rise above the left and right sides of the Orchestra. Boxes A and B each have a five person-capacity and Boxes C and D can hold up to three patrons. Box Seats are accessible from the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels. Tickets for Box Seats can be purchased at the Apollo box office and at Ticketmaster.com.

How do I get my tickets from Will Call?
There is no Will Call at the Apollo at this time.

Does my child need a ticket for admission?
Yes. In addition, fully vaccinated children ages 5-11 are welcome at the Apollo. Proof of vaccination authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19 must be provided (dated at least 14 days before the show). Photo ID for children under 12 will not be required if they are accompanied by parents/guardians with government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport).

If I need to leave during a ticketed show, will I be allowed to re-enter?
Unless otherwise enforced for a particular event, guests with tickets are allowed to re-enter the building during the event, for which the ticket was purchased. Guests who do not have tickets will not be allowed to enter the building.

Are food and drinks available during shows?
The Apollo has partnered with Great Performances to provide patrons with a variety of food and beverage options. No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the building. Guests attempting to enter the building with outside food or drinks will be asked to dispose of these items. Security has the right to deny entry to anyone who does not comply with this policy.

Is alcohol available during shows?
Guests of the Apollo must be of legal drinking age according to the New York State law to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages inside the building. Proof of I.D. must be shown for verification. The bar staff has the right to refuse service to guests that show any signs of impairment due to the consumption of alcohol. Security has the right to enforce the removal of any patron who has been disruptive or disorderly as a result of intoxication.

When is the gift shop open?
Apollo Theater merchandise can be purchased at the Gift Shop located in the main lobby. Gift Shop hours are Monday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Gift Shop merchandise is also available at apollotheater.shop.

Can I bring a camera or record to the Apollo?
Restrictions for the use of photo and video equipment are dependent upon the event that is taking place. DSLR cameras are not to be used during shows. Tripods are prohibited at all times unless the owner is credentialed Press, which must be confirmed in advance by the Apollo Public Relations department at [email protected].

Are signs permitted during shows?
Banners and signs that may obstruct the view of other patrons, are hazardous, or could be used with intention to protest are not allowed inside the Apollo’s Theaters. The Apollo staff has the right to deny entry to guests with such items.

Can I bring a stroller?
Strollers are permitted inside the Apollo’s theaters. All strollers must remain in a designated area for the duration of the event.

Is there seating for people with disabilities?
Each seating level is accessible via the elevator inside the Apollo Historic Theater. Guests should be aware of the small steps leading toward the Mezzanine and Balcony seating levels. Depending on the guest’s ticket location for these two levels, additional walking may be required. If guests are not able to travel up and down steps, tickets for events should be purchased for the Orchestra level.
Wheelchair seating is available on the Orchestra level of the Apollo’s Historic Theater. The Apollo’s Historic theater also offers seating options for patrons who are able to transfer from their wheelchair to a seat inside the theater. Tickets can be purchased at the Apollo Theater box office.

Are there any ADA restrooms?
There are three public ADA compliant restrooms located in the Apollo’s Historic Theater basement and two in the Soundstage lobby on the third floor.

Are walkers permitted?
Walkers are permitted inside the Apollo’s Theaters. All walkers must remain in a designated area for the duration of the event.

Are service animals allowed at the Apollo?
There are no pets allowed inside the Apollo’s theaters with the exception of service animals, which under the ADA Law, is limited to dogs. This does not include therapy dogs as they are not specifically trained to assist persons with disabilities. Documents such as a doctor’s note shall not override this policy.
