New Black Fest: Playwrights in Conversation

NBF_1920x1080_Web

New Black Fest co-founder Keith Josef Adkins leads a lively panel discussion with the contemporary playwrights who have been commissioned by the Apollo to create new 10-minute plays that speak to the themes of creating new artistic work during the Harlem Renaissance, and how these thematic ties relate to our own current moment.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, how each playwright addressed the prompt, and what insights can be shared about performing these works for contemporary audiences. This program will be taking place on the Apollo’s Soundstage.
