Master Class seminars continue the legacy of the Apollo as a place where artists and entertainers learned informally about the principles and ethics of show business. The seminar curriculum provides participants with guidance on the basic elements of their craft, personal presentation in the public arena, business and legal considerations, and marketing and publicity.
Renown singer and voice-over actor Janice Pendarvis facilitates this workshop for vocalists. Participants will receive guidance on caring for the voice, vocal technique, breath and resonance exercises. Participants are welcome to share their voice with the class for review and feedback. For accompaniment, participants may sing a cappella, play keyboard available in the classroom, acoustic instrument, or provide a track on audio CD, MP3 player (such as an iPod). Feedback will be provided to as many as possible as time permits.
Multi award winning singer-songwriter-producer and recording artist Gordon Chambers leads this songwriting workshop for aspiring and experienced lyricists on the essentials of writing a great song.
