Lyrics From Lockdown

Weaving together over 40 voices, including a choirboy sentenced to Death Row at 17 years old, a Caribbean immigrant family in Brooklyn, and an unjustly jailed Harvard Law student, LYRICS FROM LOCKDOWN is an award winning multimedia production. Based on two unbelievable true stories of wrongful incarceration, this tour de force fuses hip hop theater, spoken word poetry, blues, calypso and comedy with a live band and video DJ to expose the unresolved contradictions of police abuse and racialized mass incarceration in America.
