The Apollo Theater is one of Harlem’s, New York City’s and America’s most iconic and enduring music halls. Many of the world’s greatest musicians and entertainers have graced its stage, giving it a starring role at the epicenter of American popular culture. Explore the legendary history of the Apollo Theater and gain behind-the-scenes access to our legendary venue. Your Historic Tour connects the past, present and future through the entertaining and inspiring storytelling of Billy “Mr. Apollo” Mitchell. Your tour ends onstage where you can touch the Tree of Hope. And if you have the heart, you may be selected to perform on the world famous Apollo stage. Tours are offered only to groups consisting of 20 people or more. Individuals or smaller groups may join a tour that has already been scheduled. Please call in advance in order to join a tour.
