"The immense talents and philanthropy of Florence Mills (1892 – 1926) earned her the nickname, The Queen of Happiness. Though her singing was praised by thousands of fans in the U.S. and in Europe, no recording of it exists, leaving us to imagine the sound of a voice that delighted so many. The Queen of Happiness: Florence Mills” is an immersive, multimedia musical experience that will introduce young audiences to Florence Mills, the Harlem Renaissance, and the music connected to Mills’ life and the times in which she both lived and inspired.

Hip Hop Roots 360 takes the audience on a journey through the history of Hip Hop. Through dance, music and oral histories, Bronx-based arts group Full Circle Souljahs show how the seeds of this cultural revolution, planted in New York City, took root and spread throughout the world.

Jump Up Jamboree celebrates the cultural traditions of Africa, the Caribbean, and other places in the Black diaspora by weaving together poetry, songs, games, storytelling, music and movement. Set in a market place, this lively, engaging and memorable experience engages audience through call and response, sing-a-longs, and hands-on rhythm making while they listen to the deeply rooted wisdom of the Elders.
