Mary Olivette Bookman

Mary Olivette Bookman is an emerging music and theatre educator, creator, and producer from Mobile, Alabama earning her Bachelor of Arts in Music at Fordham University. She has continuously sought out opportunities to utilize the performing arts to educate and inspire, including creating and hosting “Music Therapy” on her school’s radio station, advising on Signature Theatre’s college programming, and developing Fordham University’s Black History Month events highlighting the Black joy, excellence, and resilience that have guided her throughout her life. In addition, she has also interned with The East Harlem School and Teach for America, to bring more equitable and personal liberal and performing arts education to those in underrepresented communities. Mary Olivette plans on completing her Master of Science in Teaching at Fordham University and will continue working to create performing arts educational opportunities and programming within theatres and schools in New York and Mobile, Alabama. She hopes to use all these lessons and experiences to open a youth performing arts center in her hometown, giving youth of color, especially low-income youth, the opportunity to learn and express themselves through the performing arts.

Isaias Morales-Sepulveda

Isaias Morales-Sepulveda has recently graduated college with a BFA in Multimedia Performing Arts from Lehman College with honors and received the Excellence in Undergraduate Studies award. He directed and showcased a story about the colonization of Puerto Rico and Jamaica through Bomba and the many rhythmic beats of the Caribbean. He recently had his first play Pushed Out produced at Lehman College at the New Playwrights Festival. He was also an assistant director on the student-devised multimedia piece called Pa’Lante at Lehman College. He is very excited to work at such a historic theater. He can’t wait to make many meaningful and, hopefully, long-lasting impressions and connections. He does this work through his faith, the grace of God, his family, and friends.
