Shandi Check comes to the Apollo Theater by way of North Carolina. The soul singer is inspired by Apollo legends Pattie LaBelle, Lauryn Hill and Michael Jackson. Shandi has had the pleasure of being the opening act for artists such as Total, Horace Brown, Tony Terry and J. B. Smoove. She is thrilled about singing on the world famous Apollo stage and has only one thing to say about competing at Amateur Night: “Let's go get it!"
