THE APOLLO THEATER. Where stars are born and legends are made. Where icons, both old and new, play in a setting so intimate that the world-famous audience is always a major part of the show.
The Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc., is pleased to present the Name-a-Seat Campaign, an integral part of the ambitious APOLLO RISING Capital Campaign a multi-year endeavor to raise capital funds to restore our landmark theater. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of the Apollo, its unrivalled legacy, and its exciting future.
Your tax-deductible donation will ensure that the Apollo experience is around for generations to come. We will link your gift to the Apollo's rich history. Classically-styled, engraved seat plaques will serve as lasting reminders of your support. Your generosity will strengthen the indelible mark that the Apollo has made on the Harlem community, stars, legends and audiences. It will ensure the Apollo's legacy as the cultural beacon and international icon that it is today.
THE LEGACY OF THE SEATS
In many ways, nothing is more representative of this unique history, legend and experience of the Apollo than the seats. There is no other theater that unites the performer and the audience like the Apollo.
The Name-a-Seat Campaign represents a celebration and recognition of the heart and soul of the Apollo and its audience. The restoration of the Apollo and its addition of uniform, historically significant, aesthetically pleasing seating captures the spirit of generations of audiences who have come to the place "where stars are born and legends are made."
