Jaimeo Brown Transcendence
- Hits: 2290
In just a short period of time, Jaimeo Brown has emerged as a versatile drummer on the jazz music scene. He is equally at home with up-tempo bebop as well as laid-back hip-hop grooves.
He spent four years as an apprentice to his drum teacher Sly Randolph and toured with his musician parents Dartanyan Brown and Marcia Miget. Through these experiences, Jaimeo has earned a position in the working groups of pianist, composer Mark Levine, bandleader and recording artist Marc Shelby and the great Bobby Hutcherson's quartet. Jaimeo's command of Latin and Afro-Cuban/West African forms has captured the attention of musicians such as Carlos Santana, John Santos and others.
