Chareneé Wade

Inspired by Sarah Vaughan, Brooklyn native Chareneé Wade is not only a gifted vocalist but also an accomplished musician having received her Masters Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. She has been featured in configurations from jazz trios to Big Band to the conservatory’s 100-piece Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Wade came into the the general publics attention through her tour-de-force interpretation of "Since I Fell For You" with the Bobby Sanabria Big Band on the Grammy nominated CD, Big Band Urban Folktales. She has performed at Festival du Riou, the Montreaux Jazz Festival, and the Ascona New Orleans Jazz Festival, and opened for Herbie Hancock at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival in 2003.

She recently returned from Russia on tour with the Oleg Butman Trio at various venues such as Le Club in Moscow, and the Province Jazz Festival in Orenburg and performed as featured soloist the Rufus Reid work, Linear Surroundings with the bassist-composer in 2004. Her debut album "Love Walked In" was released in September 2010.
