Mieka Dovey is a child of the world. She was born in Denmark, raised in Virginia and now lives in New York City. Mieka is a singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. Her musical influences are Prince, Minnie Ripperton and Teena Marie. When asked about upcoming projects, Mieka says that she is currently on tour with her band. She is extremely excited about performing at the world famous Apollo Theater where stars are born and legends are made.

Breakin' Convention

It's a hip hop takeover at the Apollo June 13-16 as 100 dancers from around the globe gather onstage, under the marquee, all through the building during a jam-packed 4-day weekend of hip hop dance theater shows, DJ's spinning, live graffiti art, film clips and special tributes to hip hop dance icons, family workshops and free events.
