Alyssa Curcio is a native New Yorker who claims that she was born to sing! Alyssa is not one to shy from a challenge and has won several local talent shows. Now Alyssa is looking to win the mother lode: first place at Amateur Night at the Apollo. Her music influences include Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson. She says, “I have watched many acts on the Apollo stage from the comfort of my living room. I know Michael Jackson started out at the Apollo as well as many other stars. I hope to count myself as the next Apollo legend.”

Breakin' Convention

It's a hip hop takeover at the Apollo June 13-16 as 100 dancers from around the globe gather onstage, under the marquee, all through the building during a jam-packed 4-day weekend of hip hop dance theater shows, DJ's spinning, live graffiti art, film clips and special tributes to hip hop dance icons, family workshops and free events.
