LEGACY: BLACK & WHITE IN AMERICA

This celebration of African-American life, leadership and culture features a special screening of the critically acclaimed PBS documentary and a panel discussion on the legacy and lessons of the Civil Rights Movement moderated by David Brancaccio (host of NOW on PBS). The documentary LEGACY: Black and White in America presents two parallel stories – the story of African-American life today and the story of the Civil Rights generation - to clarify the successes and failures of racial integration in American and what they reveal about our democracy and national character. The Apollo Theater’s famous Amateur Night shows continue every Wednesday night through the grand slam SUPER TOP DOG finals on October 27. Tickets for the next round of performances from May 19 through Top DOG finals on September 1 will go on sale to the public on Monday April 19 at 10am.
