APOLLO TO AWARD NEW CASH PRIZE OF $10,000 TO AMATEUR NIGHT FINALS WINNER!

For the 2010 Amateur Night season, the Apollo will award a $10,000 prize to the winner of its Amateur Night finals competition! This is the first time the Theater has ever offered such a substantial cash reward for its popular, long running show.

APOLLO AMATEUR NIGHT AUDITIONS
The world famous Apollo Theater will hold open auditions for Amateur Night. The audition is open to singers, dancers, comedians and musicians of all ages and musical styles. New grand prize of $10,000 for the 2010 season!                 

ATLANTA AUDITIONS                                              
October 10, 2009 – 10 AM to 6 PM
Rialto Center for the Arts Georgia State University              
80 Forsyth Street, NW Atlanta, GA

We will see the first 300 acts only!

NEW YORK AUDITIONS                                               
October 17 & 18, 2009 - 10am to 6pm                          
Apollo Theater Soundstage (3rd floor) - 253 West 125th Street - New York City

PLEASE NOTE: We will see the first 600 acts over the span of two days at a maximum of 300 people each day. We will give out as many numbers as possible on the first day. If we reach a total of 600 acts on the first day, we will not give out any additional numbers on the second day.

• Each contestant will have up to 90 seconds to audition.
• Singers can bring a track or sing a cappella. We will NOT have a band in house.
• Musicians should bring their own instruments.
• Dancers should bring a cassette or CD for their performance.
• All auditions should be in good taste and with no profanity.
• Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
