BET’s Apollo Live
BET presents Apollo Live, a new televised talent competition. Many Apollo Amateur Night winners have gone on to perform on the new BET Apollo Live show. BET has no Apollo Live open auditions currently scheduled.
WNYC Battle of the Boroughs
The Apollo Theater is collaborating with New York Public Radio (WNYC) for their Battle of the Boroughs competition. WNYC is looking for the best undiscovered performers. Bands and ensembles of all genres, instrumentalists, singers, DJ’s and spoken word artists are encouraged to audition.
The winner will be a guest artist at the Apollo’s Amateur Night during the 2013 season.
*Amateur Night at the Apollo weekly performances are independent from the "Showtime at the Apollo" and "Live at the Apollo" taped events.
