“Singing from the heart comes from my mama,” says Andrena Mason, a jazz and blues vocalist from Upstate New York. “I come from humble beginnings. When you struggle – music is the only thing that saves you.” It is this belief and passion for music that lead Andrena on her journey to pursue a career in the performing arts. She has studied under vocalist Flossie Wilson, pianists Norman Pors, Debra Mann and saxophonist David Weeks. She looks forward to claiming First Place at Amateur Night.
